Mail merge a spreadsheet into personalized letters, certificates and envelopes, as one PDF.
Mergewell Mail Merge is mail merge from Excel or CSV to PDF inside the chat. Upload a contact list or donor spreadsheet, write the letter once with fields like {{First Name}}, and get one combined, print-ready PDF with a personalized letter, certificate or envelope for each row, plus a merge report CSV listing the values printed for each record. It checks the merge first: template fields with no matching column, fuzzy column matches such as first_name for First Name, and records with empty values.
What it does
- Mail merge letters: US business letter layout with date, inside address, optional subject, closing and signature
- Certificates in bulk from a name list: award, completion, participation and appreciation, 4 vector styles, signature lines
- Envelopes from a contact list: #10 business envelopes with return address, delivery address in the USPS read area
- Fields with defaults {{First Name|Friend}}, formats {{Amount:currency}} {{Date:date}}, and conditions {{#if Company}}...{{/if}}
- Checks before printing: unmatched fields, fuzzy column matches, records with empty values, ZIP codes that lost a leading zero
- One PDF for up to 2,000 records per batch, plus a per-record merge report CSV

Limitations
- Makes PDFs only: it does not send email, print, or mail anything, and does not connect to Word, Outlook or Gmail
- Does not make mailing labels, diplomas, degrees, licenses or accreditation documents
- Up to 20,000 rows read and 2,000 documents per PDF (ask for the next batch with start_record)
- Prints Latin with accents, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese; Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and emoji cannot be printed
- Download links expire after about an hour; files are not kept
